Seven Steps to Successful Brokerage
The Snyder Group provides brokerage services primarily throughout the Northeastern United States. Our brokerage services operate in the following manner:
Step 1. Onsite Assessment
Once the client has elected to engage The Snyder Group, an affiliated Snyder Group Consultant will conduct an on-site Practice Valuation. The Consultant will visit the seller’s practice to review the physical plant, as well as conduct a random chart audit. This chart audit is conducted in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Step 2. Practice Valuation
We then prepare a formal, comprehensive, and detailed Practice Valuation. This valuation utilizes three different methods of determining value, and uses the average arithmetic value of these methods to arrive at a fair market value. A five-year cash flow projection is also included showing the economic benefits of the acquisition.
Step 3. Marketing The Practice
We develop a customized marketing plan for the client in order to broker the practice. All marketing is handled with the utmost confidentiality respecting the clients’ interests. The Snyder Group uses a combination of journal advertising, Internet-based marketing, direct mail, and a network of dental professionals nationwide who provide marketing assistance.
Step 4. Purchaser’s Screening
To protect the seller’s interests, The Snyder Group requires that all candidates looking to purchase a practice sign a Confidentiality Agreement and provide a résumé. The Snyder Group will then determine the applicant’s credit worthiness and ability to purchase the practice.
Step 5. Negotiation Phase
Once the purchaser has been identified, The Snyder Group team will then work with both parties in order to orchestrate a fair and equitable buy-in or purchase. The Snyder Group team works with the seller and purchaser’s accountant and attorney.
Step 6. Agreement Phase
As part of its commission structure, The Snyder Group will also provide the legal documents (as contract templates) that are necessary to complete the transaction. Agreements are then e-mailed to their respective attorneys for final review and signature.
Step 7. Purchaser Financing
The Snyder Group can also assist the purchaser, if requested, to obtain financing for the transaction. A loan origination fee is charged to the purchaser for this service.
The Snyder Group takes clients from start to finish — from the initial listing to the settlement table, to finalize the transaction.
